(Old Barn Road, Mount Bures/ Bures Hamlet) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2012

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Old Barn Road, Mount Bures/Bures Hamlet, in the District of Braintree and the Borough of Colchester, for a distance of approximately 10 metres either side of the level crossing.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 25 March 2012 for 1 night between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00, weather permitting, or where appropriate signs are showing, and is required for the safety of the public and workforce while Network Rail undertake wig wag renewal.

Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.

The alternative route will be via A1124 Colchester Road, Jupe's Hill/Chappel Road, B1508 Lower Road, Fordham Road, Plummers Road, Pounders Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 25 March 2012 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
